Marine Cpl. Eric R. Lueken

February 25, 1983-April 22, 2006

Eric Graduated from Northeast Dubois High School May 2001. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.  In Anbar Province, Iraq he was killed while conducting combat operations against enemy forces.

Died April 22, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom

Marine Lance Cpl. Alec Terwiske

July 6, 1991-September 3, 2012

Alec Graduated from Northeast Dubois High School May 2010.  He left for USMC boot camp July 19, 2010 earned his EGA October 15, 2010.  He was a tanker and drove the M1A1 Tank with the 4th Tank Battalion Echo Company. In April 2012 he was deployed to Afghanistan with the 1st Combat Engineers Battalion Mobile Assault Company.  In Helmand Province Afghanistan Alec was killed in a hostile combat situation.  He was the only known marine killed in action in the history of the 4th Tank Battalion since 1943 and his uniform is on display at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
