~Holy Moly! It is March already! Hopefully we come in like a lion and out like a lamb!

~Our field trip will be Monday, May 18. We will be going to Blue Springs Cavern in Bedford. Parents (no younger siblings) are allowed to attend. It will be $9 for you to attend, and you will be able to ride the bus. You have to have your criminal history check to be able to attend the field trip. I will be sending out a paper for you to sign up for the field trip.

~We will be testing for the report card this week. Please practice sight words.

Language Arts

New Story: The Three Billy Goats Fluff

New Letter/Sound: oo digraph, silent e

New Letter Writing: Ll

New Sight Words: number words zero-ten (please practice key ring)

New Concepts: deleting parts of words, beginning/middle/ending sounds, changing sounds to make new words, sequencing a story, spelling cvc words, author’s purpose, writing sentences correctly

Math

number words zero-ten: word problems (we will do this until the end of the year): fact families: measurement 

Science/Social Studies/Health

 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Unit: Our Community Unit
