  • Please have all Dubois Public Library Books returned to school by Friday, February 23.  If you are going to turn them in for your child, they are due on February 26. 


  • Winter Emergency folders must stay in students’ backpacks. This is to ensure that the material can be updated for practice on current skills.

Reading Log

The students will be given a reading log every Friday.  They will need to read 80 minutes a week and turn it in the following Friday.




We will take the Spelling/Writing test every Friday.  The students will have to spell all 15 words on the front. On the back, they will be given  five sentences to write correctly.   Each sentence is worth 3 points– 1 each for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.  The total test is worth 30 points-15 for the words and 15 for the sentences.

Multiplication Fluency

 All students need to know 65 multiplication facts (in four minutes) by the end of February.  I will be taking a grade on these quizzes.   By the end of third grade, they will need to know 95 mixed (1-12) multiplication facts in four minutes.
