Kindergarten Newsletter

Week of February 12

~We will be exchanging valentines at school on February 13. We have 13 students.

~I will not be at school Feb. 12-16. If you need anything, please email Judy or call the office.

~The children will only have the paper books in their homework folders this week.

~Please leave the virtual day folders in the backpack. If we have a snow day, please just do one packet for each day we are off. If we have snow days this week, I will be able to respond to questions via email, but it will not be as quick as I normally answer.

~Midterms were sent via email. Let me know if you didn’t receive your student’s midterm.

What are we going to learn this week?

READING: New Story: Roses are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink New Sounds: ck & sh digraph Writing: Ee New Sight Words: here, go, from New Concepts: verbs/adjectives, finishing sentences, ending sounds, solving problems, cvc words

MATH: anchoring to 5 & 10, number words zero-ten, intro to adding & subtracting

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES/HEALTH: President’s Day: Motion & Force Unit: self esteem

March 26-30 Spring Break: No School


*We will be in school on February 16, February 19, April 2, April 20, and May 25. May 25 is our new last day of school (so far).
